Soca Massive invited us to cover his Masband Launch at ‘The Yaa Centre’, London, Sunday 8th May 2022.
Fancy Sailors UK have always been a traditional masquerade band so there was no way we was missing this presentation. Especially considering what we’ve seen for the 2022 Notting Hill Carnival season thus far, after all, we’ve been in isolation for two years.
What took us by surprise was a guest appearance by Chantimelle Masband, there was no mention of this in the press release.
The event was hosted by Soca Massive with live performances by Nika, Fakekou & Dawg E Slaughter with music played by DJ’s Zoomer D, DJ Fats, Frisko, Slick Rick, Young Apache & DJ Sev.
