Dreams By Mojo Morgan

Mojo Morgan pushes inspirational anthem, Dreams

Grammy-winning artiste Mojo Morgan is making a major summer push with his anthemic new single ‘Dreams’, a cheeky club banger that offers a perfect example of how to grab the brass ring of music success in 2025.

“‘Dreams’ is for every hustler, every survivor and every soul who refuses to settle. The song is motivational, soulful and uplifting, it’s a declaration that your dreams are valid, no matter where you come from or what you’ve been told,” said Mojo Morgan.

The single, which will be available on all major download platforms on Tuesday, will be released alongside glitzy visuals.

Mojo Morgan, a founding member of Morgan Heritage, spent several months hanging out with dancehall artiste Popcaan, soaking up the grit and joys of rural life, and experiencing first-hand the wonderful jolt of Kingston street life rolling up in twenty-deep entourages at dances and events in the capital city.

He used the opportunity to write a soundtrack of his unique experiences for an upcoming EP dubbed ‘Jamaica Love’.

The lead single from ‘Jamaica Love’ is the hard-hitting ‘Dreams’ which is co-produced by dancehall super producer Rowan ‘Droptop’ Melhado, known for a string of top-ten trending songs in Jamaica. The single fuses the genres of reggae and rock, and inspirational energy in a way that feels fresh, yet familiar.

“Working with Mojo on this record was a powerful experience,” saisd Melhado, chief executive officer and founder of Droptop Records.

“This isn’t just a song; it’s a soundtrack for anyone on the grind. Coming off recent hits with Popcaan, Skeng, and Chronic Law, I wanted to bring that same energy to something more uplifting. This one’s for the streets and the soul,” Droptop added.

Mojo Morgan has high hopes for the single as it channels the artiste’s own journey of resilience and invites listeners to share and pursue their own dreams unapologetically.

“Dreams is a gateway to ‘Jamaica Love’, an album which is a deeply personal project for me because it honours my homeland, my family legacy, and especially the memory of my late brother and bandmate, Peetah Morgan,” Mojo said.

The ‘Jamaica Love’ EP is rooted in reggae and dancehall but infused with hip-hop, country, Americana, and global rhythms. The EP features heavyweight collaborations with Gramps Morgan, Popcaan, Sizzla, Maino, Chronic Law, and Mojo’s own children and nephew making it as much a family celebration as it is a cultural statement.

“Jamaica Love is more than music, it’s a message. It’s a legacy, healing, and the soundtrack for anyone who’s ever had to fight for their dream,” the US-born, Brooklyn-raised Mojo Morgan said.

Other standout songs on the EP include Mountain Song featuring Gramps Morgan and Esh Morgan and By My Side, featuring Jemere Morgan and Kelib Morgan.

As a founding member of the Grammy Award-winning group Morgan Heritage, Mojo developed a sound rooted in tradition, but boldly unafraid to push boundaries and helped pioneer a sound that elevated Jamaican music to international acclaim. Now, Mojo has curated his own unique sound, coined as “Rasta Rock”, a sweet fusion shaped by the lyrical depth of Bob Dylan and Peter Tosh, the raw spirit of 2Pac and Vybz Kartel, and the emotional textures of Coldplay, The Cranberries and Phil Collins. It’s a lane of his own, global, grounded and full of heart.

Mr. Easy Dives Into Soca with “Caribbean Ting” Off New ‘Soca Jam EP’

Dancehall fans know Mr. Easy for unforgettable hits like “She Drives Me Crazy” and “Bashment Gal,” but his latest release marks a refreshing turn. On July 11, Finatic Records dropped “Caribbean Ting”, a vibrant soca track featured on his new Soca Jam EP (instagram.com).

Known for his swaggering dancehall anthems, Mr. Easy admits that stepping onto a soca “riddim” felt natural. A lifelong fan of Caribbean sounds, he grew up influenced by 80s legends like Lord Kitchener and Calypso Rose. “My approach was different,” he shared. “I had to style my vocals differently with a different style of wordplay.” His smooth delivery captures that nostalgia while bringing fresh rhythm and energy.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Mr. Easy spent his teens in the U.S. before landing a major break with Qwest Records, Quincy Jones’ label. His debut album, Call Me Mr. Easy, arrived in 1995—a momentous start to a career built on charisma and versatility.

But with “Caribbean Ting,” he broadens his musical palette and bridges genres. The track’s upbeat tempo, catchy lyrics, and island-flavored bounce make it perfect for dancefloors and carnival stages. Already featured alongside Honorebel’s “Roll Your Waist” on the EP, the collaboration shows Mr. Easy’s eagerness to embrace new styles and global rhythms (finaticrecords.com).

This release positions him as more than just a dancehall artist—he’s now a true crossover force, honoring Caribbean roots across genres. Fans and critics alike are tuning in, with the track already generating buzz on Instagram and Facebook, where he remarked, “I’m really feeling good about my first soca project. I surprised myself with the way it turned out. I stand proud” (facebook.com).

Breathe New Life Into “Long Way Home – Island Kartel Version” By DMP, J Boog & Iyazor

Hailing from the remote and often overlooked Solomon Islands, reggae powerhouses DMP (Doorman’s Project) have once again proven that great music knows no borders. The group has teamed up with international reggae icon J Boog and emerging sensation Iyazor for a fresh, soul-stirring rendition of their 2022 hit: “Long Way Home (Island Kartel Version).”

Originally featured on their Long Way Home album, the track was already a fan favorite, resonating with its emotional depth, island rhythms, and authentic storytelling. This new version, however, takes things to another level—blending DMP’s Pacific roots with J Boog’s silky West Coast-Island style and Iyazor’s heartfelt delivery, resulting in a modern reggae anthem with a message that hits close to home for people around the world.

For a group that comes from a small chain of secluded and economically challenged islands, DMP’s success is a testament to their talent, perseverance, and unwavering belief in the power of music. Through years of hard work, they’ve turned their humble beginnings into global recognition, using reggae as a vessel to express identity, unity, and resilience.

“Long Way Home (Island Kartel Version)” isn’t just a song—it’s a statement. It celebrates cultural pride, the strength of the diaspora, and the emotional pull of returning to one’s roots. The collaboration with J Boog and Iyazor not only elevates the track sonically, but also symbolically unites island voices across the Pacific and beyond.

This release by Ineffable Records is poised to captivate new audiences while honoring the legacy DMP continues to build.
